    DIRECTEUR DE LA PRODUCTION
    David Cahill
    • Expert en gestion, opérations et développement de nouveaux projets en aquaculture avec 30 ans d’expérience internationale, dont la majorité au sein des plus grands producteurs de saumons au monde.
    • Ancien consultant et Directeur de Projet pour un programme de développement de l’aquaculture financé par le ministère de l’Environnement, de l’Eau et de l’Agriculture saoudien. Ce programme s’inscrit dans le cadre des objectifs de diversification de l’économie pour 2030 du pays en développant une production aquacole de 600 000 tonnes de poissons en cage.
    • Précédemment Directeur de l’Unité Commerciale en charge de la plus grande exploitation d’aquaculture de crevettes et de poissons d’Arabie saoudite. Il a installé 3 nouvelles fermes offshore en 2 ans avec une capacité combinée de 15.000 tonnes p.a. Il a surmonté les problèmes techniques liés aux incubateurs, il a ensuite étendu l’activité à la transformation du poisson et a géré les ventes internationales et la logistique. Durant ses 3 ans de service, il a constitué une équipe internationale hautement performante à tous les niveaux.
    • Il a passé 5 ans en tant que directeur général de l’aquaculture pour Huon Aquaculture, le deuxième plus grand producteur de saumon d’Australie. Grâce à lui la production a triplé pour atteindre 15 000 tonnes par an. Il s’est aussi occupé de la gestion des sites marins, de la construction de bateaux, des nouveaux sites et du développement des équipements, de la gestion de la santé et du bien-être des poissons, du développement de l’alimentation et des contrats, de la gestion durable des opérations, de la R&D, de la liaison avec les gouvernements et de l’obtention des certifications internationales. Il a élaboré une stratégie de croissance sur 5 ans et des plans de développement en fonction du budget et à l’aide d’indicateurs de performance financiers et opérationnels. Il a également recruté et fait progresser une équipe de management hautement qualifiée. L’entreprise Huon a réussi son introduction en bourse à la fin de son mandat.
    • David Cahill a été manager des incubateurs pour l’Entreprise Huon pendant 3 ans. Il était alors responsable du fonctionnement de 5 incubateurs et du développement de 2 grands systèmes d’aquaculture en recirculation (SAR).
    • Pendant 6 ans, il a été directeur commercial régional pour le plus grand éleveur de saumon Atlantique au monde, Marine Harvest (“MH”), en Écosse, responsable de la production de 18 000 tonnes par an provenant de 17 fermes avec 125 employés. Il a permis, avec ses collaborateurs, à l’entreprise d’atteindre une croissance de 36% par an grâce à une stratégie d’acquisition et d’expansion organique tout en parvenant à une réduction des coûts d’exploitation de 25%. En 18 ans chez MH, il a acquis une expertise dans la gestion des élevages, des processus opérationnels et techniques, dans le développement de l‘alimentation et des stratégies visant à optimiser les performances des exploitations et la gestion des risques.
    • Il a été Directeur du Département « Eau Douce » pour MH en Écosse pendant 5 ans. Ses responsabilités comprenaient la production de 12 millions de saumoneaux, 18 millions d’alevins et 50 millions d’œufs provenant de 2 élevages, 9 sites du Loch et 7 incubateurs, dont 2 élevages équipés de la technologie SAR. Il fut ainsi membre de l’équipe qui a mené la fusion de 2 des plus grandes entreprises d’élevage de saumon en Écosse.
    DIRECTEUR DES VENTES ET DU MARKETING
    Rod Maxfield
    • Rod Maxfield a travaillé pendant plus de 20 ans dans des multinationales de la grande distribution en Europe, au Moyen-Orient, en Afrique et en Asie, dans lesquelles il a accumulé une expérience importante en matière de création, de développement et de cession d’entreprises, atteignant et dépassant constamment les objectifs commerciaux.
    • Il a passé les 4 dernières années en tant que Directeur Moyen-Orient et Afrique du Nord au sein du National Aquaculture Group. Il a été engagé comme consultant pour développer les ventes, le marketing et la stratégie de développement de nouveaux produits. Il a ensuite été invité à rester au sein de l’entreprise pour exécuter ladite stratégie. Il a été responsable des ventes locales et internationales avec un accent particulier sur l’Arabie Saoudite, la Chine, le Japon et l’Extrême-Orient.
    • Auparavant, Rod Maxfield a fourni des services de conseil et d’expertise à des entreprises souhaitant s’implanter au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique. Il fournissait alors un soutien en matière de planification stratégique, mais aussi de mise en place de cadres organisationnels, de structuration financière, de la fabrication jusqu’à la mise sur le marché et à l’exécution sur le terrain des ventes et du marketing.
    • Ancien responsable de la région Moyen-Orient et Afrique chez Novartis Consumer Health. Il y a assuré la restructuration de deux anciennes unités commerciales en une nouvelle Région Opérationnelle Moyen-Orient et Afrique, qui regroupe plus de 32 pays en sept Unités Commerciales orientées vers les consommateurs avec pour chacune d’entre elles des Directeurs Généraux étant rattachés à ce poste. Il y a aussi réalisé d’autres rapports fonctionnels, notamment sur l’assurance qualité, la R&D, les finances, le marketing et la chaîne d’approvisionnement.
    • Il a également été PDG du secteur « FMCG » chez Al Khayyat Investments pendant 4 ans, où il a été recruté pour créer et développer 3 Divisions de Vente et de Distribution et pour conseiller la « Fitness Division » ainsi que la logistique du groupe. Il s’est principalement consacré à l’établissement d’un programme stratégique et au développement de nouvelles activités.
    • Ancien Vice-Président du Développement Clientèle (Asie, Afrique et Moyen-Orient – AAMO) chez Unilever Plc, de 2000 à 2009. Au sein de l’équipe de direction de l’AAMO, il a assuré la responsabilité fonctionnelle des ventes, du marketing commercial et de la gestion des opérations au sein d’une entreprise de services de restauration et de solutions commerciales de 500 millions de USD dans plus de 40 pays d’Asie et du Moyen-Orient. Il s’est concentré sur le renforcement des capacités organisationnelles, la définition de la stratégie de vente et de marketing client et de la gestion des comptes mondiaux par l’intermédiaire d’une équipe de directeurs de comptes.
    • Avant cela, il a été Directeur Général d’Inchcape Plc, responsable de trois divisions : Ventes et Distribution, Restauration sous contrat et Vente au détail.
    • Directeur Europe de Pepsico, de 1990 à 1996.     Nicolas Metral
    • Over 25 years of experience working for Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) contractors in the oil and gas, energy and environment industries, spanning across project management of large-scale industrial projects, set-up and management of project controls on mega projects, progress monitoring, earned value reporting, cost engineering, risk management, material control and bid preparation for EPC projects.
    • Prior project experience includes thermal power plant, Liquefied Natural Gas (“LNG”) regasification terminal, desalination, onshore pipeline waste-water treatment and organic waste treatment projects.
    • Most recent 10 years of working experience focused on waste-water and organic waste treatment facilities in roles across various countries, Canada, Hong Kong, China, France and Australia.
    • Joined Pure Salmon from Suez, a world leading water and waste management solution provider, where he was the Project Director of two Design, Build and Operate (“DBO”) contracts for anaerobic digestion and composting of Sourced Separated Organic Waste in Montreal, Canada.
    • Over 7 years at Suez, where he held other titles on different projects, such as Senior Project Manager for the design and construction of the first anaerobic digestion facility for organic waste in Hong Kong, and Acting Execution Director and Director of Project Controls in the treatment infrastructures department.
    • Spent 3 years at Thiess Degremont as Director of Project Controls for the Victoria Desalination Project (project cost of AUD4.0 billion), including offshore intake and outlet structures, extensive tunnelling works and off-take pipeline and transfer pumping stations, underground high voltage cable, and the project’s reverse osmosis plant.
    • Wide international working experience, having carried out project management roles in Australia, North and West Africa, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, China, France, Finland and Spain.
    • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne, France.

    Steve Wang
    • Steve has 17 years of professional experience in broad areas of Finance across geographical regions.
    • Prior to joining Pure Salmon, he was the former CFO of Crystal Jade Holdings Group, an F&B group company owned by a private equity Fund.
    • Steve brings with him a wealth of knowledge on FMCG businesses, having worked for 14 years in Unilever, a top FMCG company.  He was responsible for financial accounting & reporting, treasury and internal audit for all entities within North Asia.
    • Steve was also the North Asia Controller for a EUR4 billion business unit of Unilever and is experienced in improving business performance, partnerships, post M&A integration, investor relations and transformation management.
    • Steve holds an MBA from National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan and B.A in Risk Management and Insurance from National Chengchi University, Taiwan.

    • Previously a Service and Aftersales Manager for CM Aqua Technologies from 2017 to 2019, focusing on RAS water filtration, sludge treatment, disinfection, and oxygenation.
    • Manager at AKVA Group Denmark from 2015 to 2016 in charge of RAS management support for Middle East projects.
    • In 2014 and 2016, Assistant Manager and Water Quality Consultant at Danish Salmon, where he managed the Atlantic Salmon RAS grow-out in Denmark.

    • Ancien Directeur de l’Expansion et Ingénieur de Développement pour Aquabounty Farm, une installation utilisant la technologie SAR dans l’Indiana, U.S.A.
    • Précédemment il travaillait chez Invermar de 2010 à 2017, plus récemment en tant que Responsable de la Planification et du Contrôle de la Production, il a supervisé l’application du plan de production à chaque étape du processus productif.

    • Joined Pure Salmon from the EU Commission where she was responsible for the EU funded infrastructure projects under Environment Sector.
    • Acted as the Head of QACD (Quality Assurance and Control Department) for the CFCU (Public Institution within Treasury responsible for management of EU funds in Turkey) for 7 years.
    • Managed the CFCU’s whole portfolio of works, service and supply contracts as the Coordinator for Project Implementation Department.
    • Managed the tendering and implementation of a variety of EU-funded FIDIC (Red Book and Yellow Book) construction contracts (WWTP, SWMP, Water Supply, Roads, Building works) as the Contract Manager in charge, from 2005 till 2017.

    Erol Emed
    • Erol Emed a plus de 20 ans d’expérience dans la gestion des investissements et le développement des entreprises.
    • Il a été Directeur des Investissements, Responsable des Produits Alternatifs et membre du Conseil d’Administration de Société Générale Asset Management (“SGAM”) au Japon où il a travaillé pendant près de 17 ans jusqu’en 2007.
    • Ses principales réalisations au sein de SGAM sont les suivantes : l’obtention du mandat du plus grand fonds de pension public du Japon (GPIF) qu’il a géré pendant 10 ans. Durant son mandat il a été le plus performant dans sa catégorie en développant des plateformes nationales et mondiales de gestion de fonds quantitatifs, le deuxième produit le plus important de SGAM Japon et en mettant en place une plateforme d’investissement alternatif et de produits structurés.
    • De 2007 à 2009, il a été Directeur de la Recherche du plus grand hedge fund d’Asie, qui gérait plus de 3 milliards de USD à son apogée.     • De 2009 à fin 2012, il a été Directeur chez Thomson Reuters, en charge de la création de contenu de gestion d’investissements.     Axel-Rainer Hoffmann

    Axel Hoffmann has 20 years of experience in insurance, reinsurance and asset management. Starting at Munich Re, he had responsibilities ranging from financial reinsurance, corporate finance, M&A, risk capital modelling and asset liability management to Solvency II. Afterwards, Axel served AXA Germany as director for asset liability management, investment strategy and alternative investments and then joined AXA Belgium as a board member and CIO, where he was part of AXA’s global CIO team, which is responsible for € 600 billion of insurance investments.

    Since 2013, Axel has been a board member and CIO of Volkswohl Bund insurance group. Reshaping investment strategy, risk capital and adding new asset classes with a specific focus on alternative assets, which has been honoured with awards for best insurance company and best alternative assets investor (by portfolio institutionell magazine).

    Axel holds a diploma in mathematics from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich and earned the M.B.A. degree at The College of Insurance, New York, N.Y. He is member of the German Actuarial Association (Aktuar DAV) and CFA charter holder.

    James Munce is the COO / CFO of Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners. James started his career with PwC auditing private equity and hedge funds whilst qualifying as a chartered accountant before moving to Merrill Lynch (BAML) in 2007. James spent 11 years at BAML building out the award-winning Merrill Lynch Investment Solutions (MLIS) UCITS platform that partnered with top tier investment managers to provide European distribution and infrastructure. MLIS had peak assets of $6.5 BN and James served as both COO and CEO. Prior to joining Abu Dhabi Catalyst Partners James was the COO of the Australian multi boutique business Fidante Partners with assets of $65 BN across 14 boutique partners.

    Stephane Farouze

    Stephane Farouze has 25 years of investment experience. Prior to founding 8F Investment Partners, Stephane was Chairman of Alternatives for Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management. Before moving into that role, he was the Global Head of Alternatives and Fund Solutions and Member of the DeAWM Executive Committee. Stephane spent three years as a member of the Management Executive Committee for both Deutsche Asset Management and the Private Bank. As Head of Alternatives and Fund Solutions, Stephane’s team managed more than 200 professionals globally and was directly responsible for a total of US$50 billion of assets in Private Equity, Hedge Funds and Retirement Solutions.

    Prior to that, Stephane served as the Global Head of Deutsche Bank’s Fund Derivatives and Hybrids Group within the Corporate Bank & Securities division, during which time the team was awarded the Risk Magazine award for ‘Hedge Fund Derivatives House of the Year’ 6 times in a row, the HFM award for ‘Best Overall Investment Platform’ and ‘Best Managed Account Platform’ twice, as well as various UCITS Platform and Product awards. In addition, Stephane was Awarded ‘Best Active Manager’ by Risk Magazine in 2002.

    Before joining Deutsche Bank, Stephane was a Partner at Paradigm Global Advisors. He was also the Global Head of Sales and Structuring at Societe Generale Asset Management. Stephane has also worked at other financial institutions such as BNP, Commerzbank, Smith Barney and Paine Webber. Until 2009, Stephane was also a Director of Tarrant Apparel Group, a company listed on the Nasdaq since 2003.

    Stephane holds Bachelor of Science in Applied Arts and Sciences and a Business Administration Degree in Finance from San Diego State University.

    Karim Ghannam

    Karim Ghannam is based in Singapore and has 20 years of experience in fund management and investment banking. Karim was the Managing Director and Head of Alternatives & Fund solutions in Asia Pacific for Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management. Karim’s responsibilities included oversight of the bank’s hedge fund, private equity/private markets, third-party mutual funds and retirement/hybrids groups in the region. He was a member of the Alternatives and Fund Solutions Executive Committee and the Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management Asia Pacific Executive Committee.

    Karim joined Deutsche Bank Group in 2011 with 14 years of industry experience. Prior to that, Karim was the global co-head of DB Private Equity & Private Markets – Deutsche Bank’s US$11 billion AUM primary, secondary and co-investment platform – and co-chair of the Global Investment Committee. He was the Global Head of Private Markets within Deutsche Bank’s Wealth Management business with overall responsibility for product selection, structuring and management within the private equity, real estate and credit space.

    Before joining Deutsche Bank Group, Karim was at Argan Capital, a European mid-market private equity fund, where he spent 10 years, most recently as a Partner responsible for principal investments. Karim was a member of the investment committee at Argan Capital (and its predecessor, Bank of America Capital Partners) and helped oversee over €600m of investments. Karim led a number of European private equity deals, including structuring financing, implementing strategic change and exercising executive and board control. Prior to joining the Argan team in 2001, he worked with Merrill Lynch in London and Lehman Brothers in New York, where he concentrated on financing and M&A transactions for industrial growth, energy and power, and telecommunications companies.

    Karim holds a Masters degree from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University.

    Martin Fothergill

    Martin Fothergill is based in London and has 24 years of experience in the finance industry, including 18 years at Deutsche Bank where he most recently held the position of Managing Director, Global Head of Multi-Asset Products with responsibility for hedge funds, private equity and mutual funds. He was also a member of the Global Investment Solutions Executive Committee.

    Previously, as Managing Director, Global Head of Liquid Alternatives for the Alternatives & Fund Solutions group at Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management, Martin was responsible for a range of alternatives businesses including a US$12 billion managed account platform. This business won numerous awards over a multi-year period including best overall investment platform and best UCITS platform. He was also a Member of the Alternatives & Fund Solutions Executive Committee and the Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management UK Executive Committee.

    Prior to this role Martin was Managing Director in the Global Fund Derivatives group in the investment bank where he held various roles including the set-up and development of the managed account business and as head of investment fund research covering long only funds, hedge funds and private equity.

    Before joining Deutsche Bank Martin held investment fund research roles at Bankers Trust, Santander and ING Barings (Baring Securities) where his focus was primary on long-only closed-end funds typically investing in emerging and frontier markets.

    Martin holds a Masters Degree in Finance and Investment from the University of Exeter and has written articles on hedge funds and had papers published including in the Journal of Alternative Investments.

    Kaylynn Lee

    Kaylynn Lee is based in Singapore and has 5 years of experience in the private equity industry. Prior to joining 8F, she was a Senior Associate at F&H Fund Management, a pan-Asian private equity platform co-founded by the ex-CTO of Alibaba. In her time at F&H, Kaylynn triple-hatted the growth capital investments, real estate redevelopment, as well as hospitality funds.

    Kaylynn helped to manage F&H’s private equity growth capital investments, covering the investment value chain full cycle from deal sourcing, due diligence, execution, to portfolio management and divestment. In particular, she oversaw consumer and technology targets and portfolio companies operating in and expanding to Southeast Asia and Israel.

    F&H’s first real estate fund comprised setup, asset acquisition, financing, redevelopment, and marketing for a strata-titled, mixed-use building in Singapore, which Kaylynn took charge of stakeholder interests. This included shareholder capital calls and update reports, as well as day-to-day developer operations.

    In partnership with Ctrip (NASDAQ: CTRP), F&H launched its pioneer hospitality fund to acquire and manage hotel properties in the UK. Kaylynn assisted in the asset management and asset acquisition efforts, including on-site due diligence, market study, execution, and asset enhancement initiatives.

    Kaylynn holds a Magna Cum Laude in Bachelor of Business Management, double major Finance and Operations Management, from Singapore Management University. She also completed a half year exchange program at the University of Southern California.
