Through education, the Foundation is committed to empower people at global and local levels to accelerate the positive change Pure Salmon is leading: shaping the food industry towards a healthier one.
the environmental
impact of food
production and consumption
Producing food affects the soil, the forests, the lakes, the oceans, the air. Unsustainable food production practices over the recent decades have altered the ecosystems of our planet, making it an urgent priority to begin reversing those negative effects.
Shifting the food consumption habits of the global population is one of the most powerful tools to pressure the food industry to adopt more ethical and sustainable practices . That is why one of the pillars of the Foundation is to raise awareness on this matter, and help people adopt a more responsible diet, such as reducing meat consumption and increasing the proportion of sustainably produced food.
- Sponsor awareness campaigns and the production of educational materials, in partnership with private companies, governments, NGOs and influencers acting for this cause.
- Conduct workshops in Pure Salmon facilities and participate to events dedicated to the impact of responsible food production and consumption.

To support this scenario, the Foundation will invest in education to induce more careers in this sector, which will in turn enhance progress and innovation within the industry.
- Develop aquaculture programs specialized in RAS technology in partnership with experts and Universities all around the world which would ensure perfect employability to its graduates
- Sponsor the formation of unprivileged young people by financing their tuition fees and their internships
That is why Pure Salmon and 8F Foundation will lead several initiatives to empower people by helping them making the right food choices, particularly dedicated to the people who have limited or no access to the right information.
